  Edward T. Hanley, Consulting Advisor

  Ed has over fifteen years of experience in tax advisory services. Ed has extensive experience in all aspects of the real estate industry and in providing tax advice to closely-held businesses and high-net-worth individuals. In his capacity as a Partner at the CPA firm of Shea, Labagh & Dobberstein, he serves as a consulting advisor with our firm.

Ed was admitted to the bar in Massachusetts in 1996. He started his tax career with the international accounting firm of Ernst & Young in Boston. In 1991, he transferred to Ernst & Young's national tax department in Washington, D.C. where he specialized in real estate and pass-through entity taxation. He also served as tax counsel at GE Capital Corporation before moving to Providence, RI, where he practiced in its largest regional accounting firm for four years and completed three semesters as an adjunct lecturer in economics at Brown University.

Ed received his BA, 'cum laude' in History & Economics from Harvard University and his J.D., 'cum laude', from Boston College Law School.
